Description
The primary responsibility of the Vice President, Defined Contribution / Retirement Sales is to develop and maintain skills to successfully market proprietary funds to a prioritized territory of prospects through territory management and the coordination of projects while interfacing with other personnel and departments within the company.

This position involves direct sales, developing sales opportunities through consultants and advisors, retirement and retail platforms and insurance companies. This includes researching leads, identifying and calling on potential prospects and existing prospects, providing clients with investment performance updates as well as general client servicing.

This position serves as the primary contact for the large accounts located in select Western U.S. regions.
Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CFA or CIMA a plus

 Previous sales experience of Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO), Key Account, Retirement Plan and/or National Account or proven client-focused presentation, communication and relationship building skills

 Demonstrated understanding of the financial industry and a thorough knowledge of company products, policies and procedures

 Strong planning, organization, analytical and technical skills

 Ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently and work independently to perform a variety of tasks with accuracy and attention to detail

 Must be a team player and possess the ability to drive key decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

 Flexibility for business travel that includes attending investment conferences and client/prospect sales calls

 NASD Series 6 and Series 63 licenses are required
