Bank of America is seeking professional and motivated candidates interested in the following opportunity:
The team is composed of roughly 50 individuals. The position is focused on contributing to the teams that provide investment management guidance to Financial Advisors. Specifically, the group selects third-party investment managers/funds, manages the investment process of a fund of funds business, and supports the firm's high net worth business. Among the specific investment products that the analyst will be involved with are long-only Large Cap, Small Cap, International, and Fixed-Income. The analyst is expected to go through a rotational program that will expose him/her to all areas of the group.
Support senior analyst in assessing investment/fund manager skill through quantitative analysis combined with in-person interviews
Consistently improve knowledge level and analytical skills to increase contribution to the team and develop as an analyst. Over time, begin to contribute significantly on manager evaluations.
Gather specific data including performance, portfolios, attribution, marketing materials, and RFPs. Prepare materials and conduct basic analysis as requested by senior analysts prior to manager meetings.
Take on analytical projects requiring sophisticated quantitative and investment methodologies, ultimately supporting investment decisions that will impact significant assets and numbers of clients.
Ensure quality of investment manager profiles and quarterly updates including data entry/verification and liaising with technology and production groups
Update and maintain quantitative screens, develop additional screens
Act as a liaison with investment management companies
Work with compliance to ensure that due diligence files are complete and accurate
Participate in special projects and identify ways to improve the group's productivity
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required Skills:
2 Years of experience in financial services (such as asset management, investment bank, endowment/pension fund).
Experience with long-only equity and/or fixed-income markets.
Exposure to security valuation and/or portfolio analysis.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel with some knowledge of VBA programming.
Educational Background
BA with some work experience or Advanced Degree
Willingness to work toward CFA if not already a Charterholder
Series 7 and 66 license holders is a positive
