The Portfolio Specialist Coordinator will work independently under the guidance of the global head of the Portfolio Specialist Group. This position will provide project coordination and administrative support, as well as sole responsibility for stand-alone critical projects.

The primary role of the Portfolio Specialist is to support Portfolio Managers and investment teams by representing them in meetings and communications with prospects, clients, consultants, and internal groups. A primary objective of the role is to minimize the amount of time spent by portfolio managers and their investment teams meeting and communicating with prospects, clients, and consultants; enabling portfolio management teams to place maximum focus on the investment process, while at the same time helping to ensure that the company excels in its sales and client service efforts.

Additional responsibilities include:

  •   Serve as an analyst and participate in several critical projects and deliverables.

  •   Provide customer and vendor relationship management.

  •   Interact with team to coordinate projects against detailed schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

  •   Coordinate, attend, and take minutes for department and project meetings.

  •   Complete general administrative duties such as creating reports, coordinating travel arrangements, screening telephone calls, filing, ordering office supplies, and other general office duties.

  •   Prepare routine and non-routine correspondence, memorandums, reports, spreadsheets and presentations. 

  •   Organize reports and compile data for spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations. 

  •   Own and maintain department SharePoint site. 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will have:

  •   Bachelor's degree, major or concentration in finance preferred. 

  •   At least three years of related industry experience preferred.

  •   Understanding of and prior exposure to financial markets.

  •   Ability to manage projects and meet deliverables.

  •   Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, including senior management.

  •   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  •   Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. 

  •   Strong quantitative and computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel (formulas, functions, pivot tables, graphs) and Outlook.
