Description The Derivative Services Business Unit manages the P&L of the unregulated subsidiary Deriv/ SERV . The Business Unit focuses on strengthening customer relationships in the derivatives business at the senior levels, identifying additional target segments, marketing DTCC's current and future products and services, identifying opportunities to develop new products and services and monitoring overall customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
Independently manages largest and most complex product initiatives, facilitating cross-functional resources to achieve project objectives. This individual must be well versed in various disciplines working in the business management team. This role entails on-going ownership, direction-setting, and overall business focus of key initiatives within Deriv/ SERV Warehouse
Principal Responsibilities:
Product Strategy
Provides oversight and guidance for environmental assessment research and analysis including macro-economic trends, regulatory landscape, legal / legislative changes, customer behavior / preference shifts, etc.)
Provides oversight and guidance for the competitive assessment process including identifying direct and indirect competitors / product alternatives that risk substituting for the product(s)
Provides oversight and guidance on the product usage analysis; identifies specific questions and areas of focus for the analysis
Participates in periodic cross-functional project team meetings to ensure project strategy and operational issues are reviewed
Strategizes on how to grow share and sales volume for the future
Analyzes business from complete perspective, starting with the customer, market data and product line strategy
Develops and executes new product launches and functions as liaison between marketing, sales and ADM
Business Process Management
Oversee and manage expanded Warehouse infrastructure re-engineering efforts
Interface with Markit on joint collaborative industry initiatives and ensure overall joint resource allocation and prioritization.
Analyze business processing gaps; determine and define process improvements; and provide requirements summary to ADM and Warehouse management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Create and describe various business diagrams describing functional interfaces and value propositions.
Collaborate and liaise with BSAs, project management teams, and ADM development on all enhancements and assess change impact.
Maintain industry knowledge of new and pending developments related to the OTC CDS Market and its affects to the Warehouse platform.
Create and monitor/ensure all daily and ad-hoc business operational procedures have been adhered to with all internal stakeholders.
Resolves problems with ADM and Warehouse operations related to on-going business processing streams.
Other Activities
Manage and provide business rules of development needs for business initiatives where MarkitSERV has a dependency on TIW for development.
Collaborate with the Product Management team responsible for project lifecycle to ensure initiatives are fully implemented.
Attend business meetings with Senior level staff at DerivSERV, MarkitSERV and/or with senior members of clients to discuss the implementation of these new initiatives.
Audit / Legal / Regulatory Monitoring and Response
Responsible for supporting the department in adherence to AML /BSA policies and procedures as set-forth by various regulatory bodies.
As applicable, serve as Compliance Liaison and in conjunction with OCRC :
Serving as the primary contact within their respective department or business area for Compliance/ Regulatory related matters, including AML and OFAC, i.e., managing the flow of compliance related information to/from the department or business area they represent from/to OCRC and senior management.
Maintaining an understanding of current, as well as assessing the impact of new or revised Compliance/Regulatory related laws, regulations and regulatory guidance, which apply to their respective department or business area.
Coordinating and working with OCRC on the development, implementation and maintenance of their respective department or business area's procedures and internal controls.
Attending periodic meetings and training sessions, conducted by OCRC.
Assessing and identifying additional training needs and coordinating training, with OCRC, for their respective department or business area.
Providing input and facilitating risk assessments.
Identifying, in conjunction with department and business area management, the individual who will be designated as the alternate Compliance Liaison.
