Description
Alternative Investments (Hedge Funds) Accounting Supervisor
Responsibilities
Review of month end NAV calculation packets by portfolio accountants
Review of month end reconciliations between APM and Prime broker reports including cash, position and pricing
Review of daily transactions by portfolio accountants
Researching and resolving differences between the accounting and trade entry systems
Supervision of 2-3 portfolio accountants
Working with various products including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing and futures
Working with auditors to finalize fund year end financial statements
Working with fund types including Stand-Alone, Master-Feeder, Fund of Funds, Mutual Funds and Private Equity
Other duties as directed
Qualifications
1 Years of fund accounting or portfolio accounting experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Good Excel Skills
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Ability to learn new functions quickly and with little direction.
Strict attention to detail.
Proficient organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
